For Uganda in general

When visiting Uganda, it's essential to dress appropriately for the diverse climate conditions. In warmer areas such as Kampala and Jinja, opt for light, breathable clothing like cotton or linen in light colors to help keep you cool. As these areas are prone to sudden rain showers, pack a lightweight rain jacket or umbrella for unexpected downpours. In the cooler regions, such as Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where gorillas are found, and Sipi Falls, layering is key. Wear moisture-wicking base layers, a fleece or light sweater, and a water-resistant outer layer to stay warm and dry, especially in the evenings. Regardless of the location, comfortable walking shoes are suggested. It's always a good idea to bring a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sun protection. Lastly, when visiting religious or cultural sites, be sure to dress modestly, covering your shoulders and knees.
